The LG U+ Is The Coolest Thing I’ve stumbled Upon On The Internet.
It’s a bird, it’s a plane Nope It’s The LG U+ (sorry couldn’t help it).
Have you ever worried about dropping your phone? Oh wait, of course you have! That was a rhetorical question. But imagine that you’ve accidentally dropped your phone and just when you thought you’re about to start crying, suddenly, the phone starts flying. It’s definitely good news for clumsy folks like me. That’s what might be possible for the LG U+ aside from taking all those airborne selfies or making a discovery channel documentary about your life and the awesome stuff that you may be able to do. Fruit for thought.
One thing is for certain. It’s definitely a step in the right direction for LG smartphones if they wish to compete in the cut throat industry of smartphones. Well, conventional camera drones are good and all, but a drone phone puts more on the table doesn’t it. (I wish)
What Can LG U+ DO That Other Phones Can’t?
Well, it can basically hover around you while you’re doing a video conference call. You can surf the internet while laying on your couch eating popcorn, the phone can definitely charge itself and do lots of fantastic flying stuff.
Here’s What I think It Can’t Do.
All of the above. If you’ve seen the video showcasing the phone you may have noticed how the phone is supposed to achieve lifting itself off the ground. That’s all well and good but you may have also seen how the astonishing LG U+ is leaning towards a woman as she is making salad while having a conversation with some guy. Yeah, that’s not how vertical lift works. You see, there’s a couple of fans below the phone that are supposed to provide thrust downwards right? Well, I’m no physicist but common sense dictates that the ground also has to be below the phone for it not to come crashing down on your face while you are chillaxing on your sofa eating that nice bowl of popcorn.
I honestly don’t know how stupid the marketing team think people are or how stupid they themselves were while making this blast of a successful promo. I’ve heard it’s supposed to come out pretty soon with its self charging and glorious heavy-duty flying flashlight of 5000cd. Well, we’ll just have to wait and see. I don’t know, maybe they might after all bend the laws of physics.
Here’s A Video Explaining How Lift Off Works. You’ll Love it!
Basically Helicopters and Drones follow the same takeoff mechanics so.. There You Go ;).
The Damage Is Done However.
As you can see here, too many people have fallen prey to this sham already.
The idea, I definitely digg. Which is, not breaking your phone after accidentally dropping it. But I think that is all the phone might be able to pull off with its new flying feature. The phone itself might not be bad but that remains to be seen if its ever going to come out. But telling people that their product can do something it can’t and charging hundreds if not thousands of dollars of their hard earned money for it is just plain rude.
